VSTA lays out a stage's cards in a grid until someone arranges them. You can place each card where it makes sense, such as near the practices it is related to.

  1. Turn on edit mode with Edit map and go to level 4 or 5.
  2. Drag a card to where you want it inside its stage. It snaps to a small grid and is saved when you let go.

A card cannot leave its stage. To put a practice in another stage, move it from its record: Move, copy or delete a practice explains how.

If a stage is too small for the arrangement you want, make it bigger first. Move stages, run them alongside each other, and resize them explains how.

With the keyboard

Click a card, or move to it with Tab, then use the arrow keys. Each press moves it a little, and holding Shift moves it further. Each move is saved.

What you see while arranging

In edit mode, the lines between the cards in a stage you have arranged carry quiet labels with their relation type, so you can see what you are placing cards around.

At level 5 the cards are larger, and VSTA spreads the arrangement out to match. A practice added to an arranged stage goes into the next free place.
